To avoid overloading the circuit, check the power ratings
on electrical devices prior to using the inverter.
Power Inverter Outlet
The power inverter switch is located in the Uconnect™
Access Radio. To turn on the power outlet, press the
Settings soft-key or Settings hard-key, depending on the
radio. In the Settings Menu, touch the switch soft-key one
time to turn the outlet on. Touch the switch soft-key a
second time to turn the power outlet off.
NOTE: Due to built-in overload protection, the power
inverter will shut down if the power rating is exceeded.
WARNING!
To avoid serious injury or death:
• Only devices designed for use in this type of outlet
should be inserted into any 12 Volt outlet.
• Do not touch with wet hands.
• Close the lid when not in use and while driving the
vehicle.
• If this outlet is mishandled, it may cause an electric
shock and failure.
