PC connection

From PC connection, you can modify the
following features.
Set USB Connection
Your can set how your device reacts when a
USB cable is connected to it.
1. Touch Default connection type.
2. Select one of the following:
– Charge only only charges the device
and does not allow data transmission.
– Mass storage allows the device to be
recognized as an external hard drive.
– Tethered mode allows the device to
connect a computer to the Internet.
Enable USB Connection Check
Touch Ask me to set the your device's USB
connection type every time you connect a USB
cable. A check mark indicates Ask me is
enabled.

Applications

From Applications, you can modify the
following features.
Allow Unknown Applications
1. Touch Unknown sources.
2. Read the message and touch OK to allow
the installation of non-Market applications
on your device.
A check mark indicates Unknown sources is
enabled.

Set Keyboard Shortcuts
You can assign keyboard shortcuts to quickly
launch applications.
1. Touch Quick launch.
2. Touch a letter or number.
3. At the application list, select a shortcut to
assign it.
When using the keyboard, touch the Search
key and the designated letter or number
simultaneously to launch an application.
Manage Applications
You can manage the applications that are
installed on your device.
1. Touch Manage applications.
2. At the applications list, select an
application to manage.
To sort the applications, touch Downloaded,
All, On SD card, or Running.
View Running Services
Touch Running services to view the status of
services that are currently running. You can
stop services, if necessary.
View Storage Use
Touch Storage use to view the memory being
used by applications on your device.
View Battery Use
Touch Battery use to view the battery power
being used by applications on your device.
