Enter Numbers and Symbols
1. When entering text, touch SYM. The
keyboard changes to show numbers and
symbols.
2. Enter characters as needed. Touch Shift to
see more characters.
To return to letters, touch ABC.
Change Letter Case
Your device enters letters in sentence case. You
can change this to upper or lower case, if
needed.
When entering text, touch Shift to change the
letter case mode. The keyboard will change
accordingly.
An indicator next your Android keyboard Shift
key notifies you when the Caps lock is on.
Touch Shift to turn the Caps lock off.
Add Smileys
When entering text, touch :-) to enter a smiley.
Touch and hold :-) see more smileys.
Use Word Dictionary
When you create a message, your device can
speed up word completion. Your device uses a
dictionary to guess words that you are trying to
spell.
When entering text, touch words from the
choices shown to add them to your message. If
the choices do not fit on the screen, use the
arrow controls to view more words.
For example, to enter the word "Wyoming",
enter w > y > o and touch Wyoming.

Add Word to Dictionary
1. When entering text, touch and hold the
entry field after you type a word.
2. Touch the applicable Add [word] to
dictionary option to add the word to your
user dictionary.
3. Touch OK to confirm.
Copy and Paste Text
1. When entering text, touch and hold the
entry field after typing content.
2. Touch a selection option. For example,
touch Select all to choose all the content.
The content you select is highlighted.
3. Move the cursor to the position you want to
paste. Touch and hold the entry field again.
4. Touch to place the text.
Note: To copy the content for use later, touch
Copy to copy the content.
Delete Text
1. When entering text, touch and hold the
entry field after typing content.
2. Touch a selection option. For example,
touch Select all to choose all the content.
The content you select is highlighted.
3. Touch and hold the entry field again.
4. Touch Cut to delete the selected content.
Note: To delete text one character at a time,
touch Delete.
