CDMA Activation

To activate the MC959B-K on a CDMA network:
Tap Start > Setting > System > Broadband Settings > Carrier Selection.
1.
In the Select New Carrier drop-down list, select a CDMA network carrier (Verizon or Sprint).

Tap Switch.
3.
The MC959B-K loads the CDMA network applicable firmware.
4.
Press the green Phone key to launch the dialer.
5.
Tap Menu > Activation Wizard.
6.
Tap Activate and follow the on-screen directions. After completion the MC959B-K is ready to use on the

CDMA network.

Switching Carrier Networks

To switch from one carrier network to another:
Tap Start > Setting > System > Broadband Settings > Carrier Selection.

Select a carrier/network from the Select New Carrier drop-down list.

Tap Switch.

The message "Carrier switch starting..." appears as the new carrier firmware is downloaded to the radio. When

the download is completed, the message "Upload Done" appears briefly.

Creating a Data Connection

A data connection allows Internet access across a wireless network. When a network is selected the data
connection is automatically configured. User specified data connection can be manually configured.
To set up a custom data connection:
Acquire an Access Point Name (APN) from the carrier.
