Data Bits

The DATA BITS parameter sets the length of the serial data word. The length of
the data word must match the corresponding data bits setting in the host
computer.
v 8 (the default)
v 7

Stop Bits

The STOP BITS parameter sets the number of stop bits in the serial data word. The
setting must match the corresponding stop bit setting in the host computer.
v 1 (the default)
v 2

Parity

The PARITY parameter setting can be set for the following:
v None (the default)
v Odd
v Even
v Mark
v Sense
The setting must match the corresponding parity setting in the host computer.

Data Terminal Ready

This configuration is part of hardware flow control and determines when the
DATA TERMINAL READY (DTR) signal is generated. This signal indicates
whether or not the printer is ready to receive data.
v Ready/Buffer Not Full (the default). Asserts the DTR signal when the printer is
READY and the internal serial buffer is not full.
v Not Ready/Buffer Full. Asserts the DTR signal when the printer is NOT READY
or the internal serial buffer is full.
v False. Never asserts the DTR signal.
v True. Continuously asserts the DTR signal.
Note: When the printer is attached to an AS/400
TRUE.
