Data usage refers to the amount of data uploaded or downloaded by the device during a given period. To monitor data
usage, go to

Data usage settings allow you to:
Set the mobile data usage level at which you'll receive a warning.
Set a mobile data usage limit.
View or restrict data usage by application.
Identify mobile hotspots and restrict background downloads that may result in extra charges.
View data usage for Wi-Fi and Ethernet networks.
By default, when you open the data usage settings screen MOBILE, WI-FI and ETHERNET tabs display.
