ESCRIPTION
The Extron P/2 DA2xi and P/2 DA2xi MT are one input, two output,
high-resolution VGA distribution amplifiers. Both models come in
smaller-sized and rugged metal enclosures that can be easily installed in
small, tight places. They're small and portable enough to fit into a
briefcase for presenters on-the-go. Each model offers 350 MHz (-3dB)
of RGB video bandwidth, and are compatible with VGA-UXGA graphic
cards, monitors, and projectors. Adjustable gain and peaking are DIP
switch-selectable. The P/2 DA2xi MT also includes stereo audio, and
features a 3.5 mm female jack for audio input and a captive screw
connector for balanced or unbalanced stereo output. The P/2 DA2xi
includes a detachable, high performance, Extron six foot male to male
VGA cable, while the P/2 DA2xi MT includes a detachable six foot male
to male VGA with audio cable.
Power Options
The P/2 DA2xi and P/2 DA2xi MT can both be powered via pin 9 of a
newer computer's VGA connector. Pin 9 effectively becomes a +5VDC
power source, provided the computer has a graphic card that complies
with the VESA DDC standard. The P/2 DA2xi and P/2 DA2xi MT will
also work with older computers by using the included external desktop
power supply.

EATURES
Bandwidth – 350 MHz (-3dB) RGB video bandwidth maintains
signal integrity.
Compatibility – Both models include 15-pin HD female
connectors for inputs and outputs, and accept all
modes/resolutions of VGA–UXGA cards for compatibility with all
VGA monitors and projectors.
Active PC audio interfacing (P/2 DA2xi MT only) – Unbalanced
computer-generated audio is input via a 3.5 mm mini jack and
output as balanced line level audio on a 3.5 mm captive screw
connector. Balanced audio eliminates noise usually associated with
unbalanced audio when distributed over long cable runs.
ID bits – ID bits are routed to a local monitor output.
Gain and peaking switch – The P/2 DA2xi and P/2 DA2xi MT
offer switchable gain and peaking via a selectable DIP switch to
help maintain signal integrity over long distances.
Switchable sync output impedance - Both models are compatible
with virtually any projector and cables.
Power and source signal indicator – A small LED light on the
front panel of the P/2 DA2xi and P/2 DA2xi MT designates
whether or not it is receiving power and/or if it is receiving a
signal from a source—both of which aid in troubleshooting and
maintaining the flow of operations.
Extron input cable(s) included – the P/2 DA2xi comes with one
detachable, high performance, Extron six foot male to male VGA
cable, while the P/2 DA2xi MT comes with one detachable six foot
male to male VGA with audio cable.

OUNTING
Because the P/2 DA2xi and P/2 DA2xi MT are housed in
quarter rack width metal enclosures, there are a number of
versatile mounting options available to suit virtually any
application or environment. With an optional VersaTools™ or
Universal Rack Shelf Kit, either model can be rack-mounted
alone or with three other quarter rack width A/V products.
There are also optional mounting kits available so the P/2
DA2xi and P/2 DA2xi MT can be mounted under a desk or
next to a projector (see mounting options diagrams below).
