When Problems Occur
: Are the subaddress and the password stored in the destination list correctly?
: Check the stored entries of the destination list.
: Is a pause inserted in the telephone number?
: When sending to a machine that takes time to switch over for fax receiving,
insert a pause after the other party's telephone number.
: Does the machine have sufficient memory?
: Erase unwanted documents and error documents from memory in order to
increase the amount of available memory. (See 'Erasing Received Documents
from Memory,' on p. 4-9.)
: Is the reception password set in your machine's communication control
settings?
: If an RX password is set in the System settings, documents can be received
only from senders that use the correct password.
: Is there sufficient available memory?
: Erase unwanted documents and error documents from the memory in order to
increase the amount of available memory. (See 'Erasing Received Documents
from Memory,' on p. 4-9.)
Erase unwanted documents from the memory boxes. (See 'Printing or Erasing
Documents in a Memory Box,' on p. 3-7.)
: Is the platen glass of the other party's machine clean?
: Make a few copies using your machine. If the copies are not streaked, the
problem is in the other party's machine. Contact the other party and ask them to
clean their machine's platen glass, and send the document to them again.
