CLUTCH/GEARSHIFT LINKAGE
Coat the clutch discs with clean engine oil.
Assemble the following and install them onto the
mainshaft:
pressure plate
Install the discs
six discs (large I.D. disc A is installed onto
and plate
outside end only on TE/FE models)
alternately,
five plates
starting with the
judder spring (with the concave side facing
disc. Disc A, the
toward disc only on TE/FE models)
judder spring, and
spring seat (only on TE/FE models)
spring seat are
clutch center
only on T E/ F E
models.
Apply engine oil to the threads of a new lock nut
and install the washer and lock nut.
Hold the pressure plate bosses with the special tool
and tighten the lock nut.
TOOLS:
Clutch center holder
Holder plate
Holder collar A
TORQUE:
Be caref ul not to
Stake the lock nut into the mainshaft groove.

mainshaf t threads.
