ENGINE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Remove the propeller shaft from the engine (FM/FE
only; page 15-8).
Loosen the band screw and remove the boot band.
Remove the joint boot from the engine.
Remove the following:
upper hanger bolts and nut
hanger bracket and mounting rubbers
left and right lower hanger nuts
Support the bottom of the engine securely.
Remove the following:
left and right lower hanger bolts
spacers
mounting rubbers
Move the engine forward and disconnect the out-
put shaft from the universal joint.
Remove the engine out of the frame.
Remove the engine hanger bushings and dust seals.
Check the mounting rubbers, hanger bushings and
dust seals for wear or damage.
