Appendix C: GSM Downloading

General Information

The 7845GSM can be used to provide high-speed up/downloading to Honeywell VISTA and
LYNXR-I control panels over the GPRS network. This allows site maintenance independent
of central station monitoring, and modification to sites globally. At this time, some control
panels support downloading through the ECP bus and some panels support downloading
through the use of a Direct Wire connection. Residential panels such as the VISTA-20P and
LynxR-I support ECP
and FBP support downloading through use of a Direct Wire connection (using the trigger
connections on the control panel).

Direct Wire Setup

To perform up/downloading using Direct Wire, the 7845GSM requires that Direct Wire
Downloading is enabled (Enable DW), and that the ECP device address on which the
7845GSM communicates with the control panel as a keypad is entered (Direct Wire Address).
Additionally, the 7845GSM must be connected by cable as shown below to the panels listed.
NOTE: This feature is not available if device is set for zone trigger mode.
