it from V3x to V3 and from V3 to V3x. Works fine. There is still some work needed like resizing the wallpaper and the
font colours are also not transferred, but at least all the graphic gif files are superbly transformed, V3x to V3 better then
V3 to V3x. Here is what you have to do (example V3x skin to V3 skin).
Get the V3x skin you want to change into a V3 skin and unrar it.
Open S4M with the target skin module, here V3, and save as whatever you like - after unchecking "Light-Skin" option,
now open that freshly saved skin with S4M, uncheck "Light-Skin" option and straight underneath is the "Import" option,
open that and go to the last of the 4 options, "Pictures from Skin (resize), click that and now navigate to the V3x skin
ski file and press open, S4M does the rest and all that you have to do is save the skin.
It is not a complete skin transformation, but a very, very big help. The font colours can be imported the same way by
using the second menu option in the "Import" option.
3.8 How to Change From 3-Button Skin (V3/E1000) To 2-Button Skin (V3x) (Rasputin007)
Have your new skin open in S4M click on "Position/Size" at medium right hand side. The window display underneath
should change and the headline should read "main menu list view/".
Scroll down to ID 673 Row 859. In the "I" column it should say "Soft button middle 674.gif leer (German for empty).
You also should see that there are 3 more "soft button middle" rows underneath.
In all 4 rows (ID 673 Row 859, ID 676 Row 862, ID 678 Row 864 and ID 681 Row 867) you have to set the width and
Height values to 0.
Save skin, remember to uncheck the "Light-Skin" option cause it is checked every time you open S4M, default
settings.
And now you have a transformed skin changed to the 2 Button layout of the V3x.
If you really want to totally transform the skin, open the original skin (here a V3 skin) in another S4M window and click
the color option. Now you can read the values of each row an
d change the value
s in the V3x skin S4M window
accordingly.
Save again and now you are ready to transfer your newly created/transformed skin to your phone. Only there you will
find out if your hard work has paid off or not.
You always can make changes at any time.
