o convert DVD files to DIVX (AVI) I use DVDx 2.3 (freeware)

Read the help file to find out how (I'll write up how to use dvdx at a later date to get the best quality)
To then conve
rt the files to mp4 I use mpegable live (You will need to find this yourself as I'll get booted for posting a
link here). The settings you need to use for mpegable are :
Basic IO - Motorola devices
Video Encoding - 128kbits - ISO mpeg 4
Audio Encoding - 64 kbits - Codec mp4 - Channels stereo - Sample Rate 22050hz
Image Reprocessing - 176x144 Bicubit
Video Reprocessing - All frames 17.50hz
Interoperability - mpeg4 simple profile
I'll try and write up a more in depth "How To" when I get the chance. DvdX is quite simple and if you use mpegable
live, the settings I have given above are the only ones you need to change. (Oh and using the above settings the mp4
file will be about 130mb for a full dvd )
Also in case anyone is unaware the latest opera mini works a treat.

h and make sure you create a back up of any files you are going to change on your phone just in case!

FunLights (Alsitn)
Right now, you can't change the color of the funlight—even usi
present, the funlight editing programs (as well as some other V3 compatible programs) don't go along well with V3x
. So, don't try to mod your mobile, yet.

Getting the External LCD Lite to Stay On when the Flip is Open
Situation: I've had a bit of a search and I can't seem to find the answer to this one: I have a V3x on Orange UK and
can't seem to get the backlight on the external LCD to come on when the flip is opened. The operator logo can be seen
but the backlight remains off. Does anybody know if this is because it is an Orange-branded phone? Does the LCD
light up on an unbranded phone? Do I need to unbrand my V3x in order to see this function? Cheers, chaps!
Answer (Alsitn): This is not possible at the moment. Motorola has disabled this function

V3i, or V3 Motomanuals). I've seen some threads on the subject but nothing definitive. I'd like to hear what you all
