it changed the Keypad key for the browser to open up multimedia instead. So when I flashed my phone with
85.9A.80R I wanted to work out which file had done it (as i
fi
rst file I replaced did it. Only thing is it replaced the Moto image with a welcome to vodafone image on bootup (prior to
the splashscreen ) Also the outer screen gif showed a vodafone image the first time you flipped it ( before reverting
back to my altered cl.gif ) I then played with leader GL and that got rid of both of these problems ( they are now Moto

nes again. The gif goes back to your altered cl gif after the first flip).
After all that..... to alter the Browser key
M
ake sure you backup your original file before replacing it (it will all revert back to normal if you don't like the changes
it makes). Please be aware it will alter your ring styles and home key settings (That's all as far as I can tell) All you
n
eed to do is change them back to the way you like them. This doesn't allow you to nominate what you want the key to
open up, just changes it to multimedia but maybe someone smarter than me can figure o

nd the file here:

If anyone wants to try this could you please just post a quick reply here so others can see how it works or if you come
across any problems.
Method 2 (i-paw & Unknown): Errrr I was just notified of a much easier way to do the same thing. Oops.
Perform the following SEEM edit:
Seem 004a_0001, offset 10F, change to 02 (originally 01) and the browser button turns to multimedia.
Tested on nobrand firmware so I don't know if this will work for Vodafone brands but you may try). So yeah someone
else had already figured this one out.

.26.1

How to create Multi-media templates (ebentley)

You can copy animated gif files to your phone or your memory card and insert them in Multi-media messages that you
send. You can search the web for free animated gif fi
(a
/mobile/pictures), or Transflash memory card (b/mobile/pictures) using P2k commander, p2k manager, or Moto4Lin.
You can even save them as multimedia templates so you can use them again, and again.
Menu path: messages>message centre>Templates>MultimediaTemplates>Options>Create message>Options>Inser
Picture. Then select the picture you want to insert. Then click: Optio
T
hen exit. You'll see your new MMS Template in the MMS Templates list.

How to Copy and Reuse your User-Created MMS Templates [ebentley]

W
hen I first started modding, I made a lot of mistakes that required me to repeatedly flash my handsets to recover.
Then, I had to set them up again and this setup included re-creating special MMS Templates. Actually, this repetitive
process is initiated t
he V3x Personalization Guide. Getting smarter, I started looking for the templates but couldn't find
them. I was looking for anything I could do to reduce the amount of repetitive effort needed to get my phones th
liked them
and unfortunately, Flash Backup didn't work with the V3x at the time. So, I asked the question in the forum
a
nd some modders thought they were being archived in a database structure on the phone since we couldn't find them
anywhere else. This wasn't quite accurate so I kept looking. Well, I finally found th
o
n the phone's a/ drive. They were located on the phone's e/ drive—a partition I'd never explored. To be precise, they
are located in the e:/mobile/MMS/MMSTemplates directory. Having found them, I could now back them up to my hard
drive and load them again when needed. So, if you create MMS templates, you will probably want to save them
well so that y
ou can upload them again should you flash your phone with a Monster Pack, or perform a Master
C
lear/Master Reset that deletes all of your user-created data on your phone. Well, just do this:
