While the machine is performing an operation, its status is indicated by icons located at
the bottom of the touch panel. The table below shows the standard icons displayed during
normal machine operation. For a complete list of icons used, refer to
Alarm Messages" on page

If a selected screen, such as a menu screen, is left open, the touch panel automatically
returns to the initial screen after a user-set time period.
Either the facsimile screen or the copier screen can be set as the default display.
The touch panel automatically turns off to save power and conserve screen life. To enable
the panel back-light, simply touch anywhere on the panel surface. When printing is
stopped (waiting to be printed), the power save function (Energy Save Mode, Sleep
Mode) will not work.
