Dehumidify Function
(Dehumidify Procedure/Dehumidify Time)
Condensation may build up around the scanning area and optics inside the unit when rapid temperature
changes occur. This moisture can accumulate and cause image quality to degrade.
This section describes how the dehumidify (condensation) function can be set to prevent this problem from
occurring.

1 Press <Utility/Counter>.
2 Touch [User Management].
3 Touch [Dehumidify].
The moisture inside the scanning area
now begins to evaporate.
The lamp in the document scanning area lights for five minutes. This will evaporate any

moisture inside the scanning area.
Do not operate the machine when executing dehumidify.
This function can be set to automatically turn on at a set time every day.

Enter the time using the 24-hour clock.
4 Touch [OK] repeatedly until the display
returns to the stand-by screen (initial
screen).
Setting the Dehumidify Scanner Time
1 Press <Utility/Counter>.
2 Touch [User Settings].
3 Touch [System Settings].
