General Information
Note:
If the malfunction indicator light
flashes
when
the
switched on, contact an authorised
Triumph dealer as soon as possible
to have the situation rectified. In
these circumstances the engine
will not start.

Alarm/Immobiliser Indicator Light

This Triumph model is fitted
with an engine immobiliser
which is activated when the
ignition switch is turned to the
OFF position. If the motorcycle is fitted with
the accessory alarm, the immobiliser will
operate as normal but the alarm/immobiliser
light will operate as described below.
With Alarm Fitted
The
alarm/immobiliser
light
illuminate when the conditions described in
the accessory alarm instructions are met.
Without Alarm Fitted
When the ignition switch turned to the OFF
position, the alarm/immobiliser light will flash
on and off for 24 hours to show that the
engine immobiliser is on. When the ignition
switch is turned to the ON position the
immobiliser and the indicator light will be off.
If the indicator light remains on it indicates
that the immobiliser has a malfunction that
requires investigation. Contact an authorised
Triumph dealer as soon as possible to have
the fault checked and rectified.

ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) Indicator
light
ignition
is
(Only on models fitted with ABS)
When the ignition switch is turned
to the ON position, it is normal
that the ABS warning light will
flash on and off. The light will
continue to flash after engine start-up until
the
motorcycle
exceeding 6 mph (10 km/h) when it will go
off.
If the indicator light becomes illuminated at
any other time while riding it indicates that
the ABS has a malfunction that requires
investigation.
If the ABS is not functioning, the brake
will
only
system will continue to function as a non
ABS braking system. Do not continue to
ride for longer than is necessary with the
indicator light illuminated. Contact an
authorised Triumph dealer as soon as
possible to have the fault checked and
rectified. In this situation braking too hard
will cause the wheels to lock resulting in
loss of control and an accident.
