Can I use an ATEM 1 M/E or 2 M/E Production Switcher for uncompressed video capture or waveform
monitoring on my Mac?
No, however you can use a Mac Pro with any DeckLink or UltraScope card to capture or waveform monitor
the SDI output of your ATEM switcher. Macintosh computers with a Thunderbolt
port can use an UltraStudio
3D or UltraStudio Express to capture the HDMI or SDI output of your ATEM switcher.
Can I use an ATEM 1 M/E or 2 M/E Production Switcher for uncompressed video capture or waveform
monitoring on my Linux PC?
No, currently there is no isochronous USB 3.0 driver support for Linux. However you can use a Linux PC with
any DeckLink card to capture the SDI output of your ATEM switcher.
Can I use a third party USB 3.0 PCIe card, in my Mac Pro, for uncompressed video capture or
waveform monitoring?
No, currently there is not a suitable USB 3.0 PCIe card that is appropriate for use with an ATEM 1 M/E or 2
M/E Production Switcher. However you can use a DeckLink or UltraScope PCIe card to capture or waveform
monitor the SDI output of your ATEM switcher.
Can I use a third party USB 3.0 PCIe card, in my Windows PC, for uncompressed video capture or
waveform monitoring?

with USB 3.0.
Can I use a third party USB 3.0 ExpressCard, in my Mac or Windows notebook, for uncompressed
video capture or waveform monitoring?
No, currently there is not a USB 3.0 ExpressCard with adequate bandwidth for use with an ATEM 1 M/E
or 2 M/E Production Switcher. However if you have a computer with a Thunderbolt port, you can use an
UltraStudio 3D or UltraStudio Express to capture the HDMI or SDI output of your ATEM switcher.
What happens if I plug an ATEM 1 M/E or 2 M/E Production Switcher into a USB 2.0 slot?
Uncompressed video capture and waveform monitoring will not function as USB 2.0 does not provide
enough bandwidth for uncompressed video. A USB 3.0 port is required for uncompressed video.
