ADJUSTING THE HEADREST

The headrest can be set in different positions by means of toothed gearwheels (see diagram).
L
Don't forget to lock the headrest using the fixing screw at least around 60 mm above the end of
the lower tube to ensure it is secure.
You can now set the height using the adjusting screw found on the headrest, slightly loosening the
adjusting screws until the gears turn. Only adjust the headrest in accordance with your requirements and
secure its position by tightening the adjusting screws. Repeat the procedure, if the resulting position is not
satisfactory.
L
Check that the back of your head is supported by the headrest when sitting in a relaxed upright
position.
L
Before using the headrest, all fixing screws must be tightened properly, otherwise unintentional
sagging or movement of the headrest might cause injury.
If you want to secure your head laterally, gently press the side flaps of the headrest together and forward
until they fit the dimensions of your head; this will prevent your head from tipping sideways.
L
When leaning your head against the side flaps ensure that too much pressure is not placed on
them as this can cause damage.
ADJUSTING ANGLE OF SEAT AND BACKREST USING THE PNEUMATIC JACK
You can simultaneously tilt the seat and backrest towards the front or rear or just the backrest on its own.
1. Tilting the seat and backrest.
Pull up the left release lever located under the helper's pushing handle to the desired
position and release it to lock the pneumatic jack. Possible seat angle: -2° to +15° .
2. Tilting the backrest.
Pull up the right release lever under the helper's pushing handle to the desired position
and release it to lock the pneumatic jack. Possible backseat angle: –5° to +50° .
IMPORTANT
l
Abnormal usage of the wheelchair may lead to hazardous situations for the user.
l
The inclination of the seat is adjustable. In this case, you can adjust the angle of the seat by two
degrees negative.
l
This position is only meant to ease the transfer of a patient
(not to get in or get out of the wheelchair).
l
This position can make the wheelchair unstable if the user is not with both feet on the ground.
(danger for tipping over).
