    First of all we want to thank you for putting your trust in us by selecting one of our wheelchairs. The electric wheelchairs supplied by Vermeiren are the result of reseach and experience over many years. During the development simplicity of operation and servicing was especially emphasised.

    When using your electric wheelchair on streets or footpaths, you must obey the existing legal prescriptions. Since the SQUOD has a top speed of six km/h, you do not require a driving licence and neither is vehicle insurance necessary. However, we recommend that you take out voluntary third-party insurance.

    SQUOD Instruction Manual Last updated: Jul. 2005 To set the wheelchair in motion, push the joystick slowly forwards. The speed will increase when you push the joystick further forwards. If you want to turn left or right, simply push the joystick in the desired direction.

    SQUOD Instruction Manual Last updated: Jul. 2005 CHARGING THE BATTERIES The light emitting diodes (LEDs) in the steering unit indicate the remaining capacity of your batteries. Only recharge the wheelchair when the charge indicators on the steering unit reach the red area. If you still drive further, eventually only the last red diode lights up and flashes continually, indicating that the batteries are nearly flat.

    "PU" tyres. The end-user is not able to change the "PU" tyres. TYRES The SQUOD electric wheelchair is fitted with 3.00-8 driving wheels (standard pneumatic) and 260x85 steering wheels (standard pneumatic). Consult your specialist dealer about other wheel combinations.

    SQUOD Instruction Manual Last updated: Jul. 2005 TYRE CHANGING If you want to change the tyres or inner tubes, you should note the following: Before you can remove a tyre, you must let all the air out of the tube, and insert a tyre lever between the tyre and the rim.

When raising the wheelchair, it should only be grasped by fixed parts of the frame.

This comprises a cushioned headrest which can be set in various positions by means of a gearwheel (see diagram).
