Troubleshooting

Problem
The VC6000
Series does
not power on.
Low Battery
level warning is
issued.
LCD and
Keypad
backlight do
not function.
Display
backlight
intensity is
reduced.
The VC6000
Series powers
off during
operation.

Regulatory Information

All Motorola devices are designed to be compliant with rules and
regulations in locations they are sold and will be labeled as required.
Cause
Vehicle ignition key in
OFF position.
SIM door is open.
Drained vehicle battery.
Power cable is
disconnected.
Vehicle battery voltage
dropped below 9 V DC.
Critical Battery level.
Vehicle battery Voltage
dropped below 8V.
Display temperature is
below 10 °C or above
35 °C (below 50 °F or
above 95 °F).
VC6000 Series
temperature is out of
range:
-20 °C to 60 °C
(-4 °F to 140 °F).
VC6000 Series Vehicle Computers
Switch on the vehicle
ignition key to the ON
position.
Close the SIM door
properly and secure screw.
Charge or replace battery.
Connect the Power cable.
Start the vehicle engine to
charge the battery.
Replace battery.
Start the vehicle engine to
charge the battery.
Replace battery.
Control the temperature
inside the vehicle.
Control the temperature
inside the vehicle.
To resume operation,
momentarily press the
Power Button.
