Certain switches can support jumbo frames (frames larger than 1536 bytes). To transmit frames of up to 9K (and 9220 Bytes
tagged), the user can increase the maximum transmission unit (MTU) size from the default of 1536 by enabling the Jumbo Frame
command.
The jumbo frame commands in the Command Line Interface (CLI) are listed (along with the appropriate parameters) in the
following table.

Parameters
Used to enable the jumbo frame function on the Switch.
enable jumbo_frame
This command is used to allow ethernet frames larger than 1536 bytes to be processed
by the Switch. The maximum size of the jumbo frame may not exceed 9220 Bytes
tagged.
None.
Only Administrator and Operator-level users can issue this command.
Used to disable the jumbo frame function on the Switch.
disable jumbo_frame
This command is used to disable the jumbo frame function on the Switch.
None.
