1. The battery capacity is
low and the engine is hard to
start.
2. Excessive battery
discharging.

Causes
(1) Wiring is wrong, broken, and/or
making poor contact.
(2) Rotor circuit broken.
(3) Rectifier diode damaged.
(4) Carbon bushes are not making
proper contact..
(5) Regulator is damaged.
(1) The drive V-belt is loose.
(2) Bad contact with the carbon brush
and the commutator.
(3) The regulator is damaged.
(4) Not enough electrolytes in the
battery or battery is sulfurized or too
old.
Regulating voltage for the regulator is
too high.

Causes
(1) Short circuit between electrode
plates in the battery
(2) Sulphurization of the electrode
plates in the battery.
(3). Poor circuit connector contact, or
too much oxidation
(1) Impurities in the electrolytes.
(2) Short circuits exist in the electrical
system.
(3) Short circuit caused by placement of
a
metal
tool
or
positive/negative posts.
(4). Corrosion on battery terminals or
cables.
(1) Check and repair the circuits.
(2) Replace alternator.
(3) Replace alternator.

(5).Replace alternator.
(1) Adjust the tension of the drive
V-belt.
(2) Replace alternator.

Replace the voltage regulator.

fasten cable connector, and coat with a
layer of petroleum jelly.
