Chapter 4 BIOS Setup
DRAM Data integrity
This item is to choose or not the Error Check and
modee
Correction mode.
Choices are: ECC; Non-ECC (default).
Memory Frequency
The value represents the performance parameters
For
of the installed memory chips (DRAM). Do not
change the value from the factory setting unless you
install new memory that has a different performance
rating.
Selecting Enabled is to activate the DRAM Read
DRAM Read Thermal
Thermal management function. default: Ddisabled.
Mgmt
Selecting Enabled allows caching of the system
System BIOS
BIOS ROM at F0000h to FFFFFh, resulting in
Cacheable
better system performance.
Default: Disabled
Video BIOS Cacheable Selecting Enabled allows caching of the system
BIOS ROM at C0000h to C7FFFh, resulting in video
performance. However, if any program writes to this
memory area, a system error may result.
Video RAM Cacheable Selecting Enabled allows caching of the video memory
(RAM) at A0000h-AFFFFh, resulting in better video
performance. However, check your AGP manual to
find out if any compatibility problem exists.
Memory Hole At 15M-
You can reserve this area of system memory for ISA
16M
adapter ROM. When this area is reserved, it cannot
be cached.
Delay Prior to Thermal The chipset has an embedded 32-bit posted write
buffer to support delay transactions cycles.
This item allows you to choose a delay timing
before a new Thermal reading is taken.
AGP Aperture Size Choices: 32; 64 MB. Memory mapped and graphics
data structures can reside in a Graphics Aperture.
This area is like a linear buffer. BIOS will automatically
report the starting address of this buffer to the O.S.
