If no new card is to be installed, install a blank panel to ensure heat dissipation of the switch and
prevent dust from entering the switch.

Replacing a fan tray

When the fan tray fails, replace the fan tray to ensure normal operation of the switch.
CAUTION:
When replacing the fan tray, do not touch the rotating fans to avoid bodily injury.
The fan trays on the switch can be installed in horizontal or vertical slots.
Vertical slot: A10504 and A10508
Horizontal slot: A10508-V
The procedures for installing fan trays in the two types of slots are similar. The following section takes a
fan tray installed in a vertical slot on an A10508 as an example.
