Introduction
This manual describes the KTQ87/mITX board made by KONTRON Technology A/S. The boards will
also be denoted KTQ87.

The KTQ87 board is based on the Q87 chipset, support 4
generation Intel® Haswell i7 -, i5 2Core and
4Core desktop processors, Haswell Dual Core Pentium and Haswell Dual Core Celeron. See
"Processor Support Table" for more specific details.
Use of this Users Guide implies a basic knowledge of PC-AT hard- and software. This manual is
focused on describing the KTQ87 board's special features and is not intended to be a standard PC-AT
textbook.
New users are recommended to study the short installation procedure stated in the following chapter
before switching-on the power.
All configuration and setup of the CPU board is either done automatically or manually by the user via
the BIOS setup menus. Only exception is the "Load Default BIOS Settings" Jumper.
