5.1 Overview
This chapter shows you how to configure the NXC-8160's access points.
5.1.1 What You Can Do in This Chapter
The Access Points screen lets you view the status of the access points (APs) connected to the
NXC-8160 as well as turn their power supply on or off.
5.1.2 What You Need to Know
The following terms and concepts may help as you read through this chapter.
Power over Ethernet
Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a system that allows the transfer of electrical power over an RJ-
45 Ethernet cable. This allows some devices, such as wireless APs connected to a router or
switch, for example, to receive power from that router or switch.
5.2 The Access Points Screen
Click Access Points to open this screen. This is where you can view the status of the access
points (APs) connected to the NXC-8160. You can also use this screen to set the NXC-8160
not to supply power to an AP.
