DESCRIPTION
This section of the Portal screen allows you to activate the captive portal
feature or not and to associate it with a specific VLAN.
Select this option to enable the captive portal feature. Once enabled, all web
page requests from ESSIDs that are configured for captive portal are
directed to the captive portal page for authentication.

Enter the captive portal VLAN tag ID. When the ESSID is set to open the
captive portal web page, the ESSID's VLAN tag ID is automatically set to
match the VLAN number you enter here.

Set the captive portal web page to require a secure login.
If the Secured Login option is checked, use this menu to select secure login
method. Options are RADIUS server or an open portal port number.
Click Save to save your customized settings in this section of the screen.
This section of the Portal page allows you to configure a list of pre-approved
IP addresses outside of your network that will bypass the captive portal.
For example, if you have a corporate website that is outside your existing
network, you can add its IP address to this list so that anyone navigating to it
from within your network will bypass the captive portal web page.
Enter a pre-approved destination IP address.
Enter a pre-approved destination subnet mask.
Enter a pre-approved destination port number.
Select a pre-approved Internet protocol for the detination address. Options
are All, TCP, and UDP
Click Save to save your customized settings in this section of the screen.
This section allows you to build a custom captive portal web page using the
bult-in HTML tools provided by the NXC-8160.
Note: These tools provide only the most basic HTML design
functionality. For greater control over your captive portal
web page, use the Upload Your Own Customized
Page section instead.
Select this option to use a customized captive portal web page. This allows
you to customize the default web page included with the NXC-8160.
Note: Once you choose this option, the customization
parameters dynamically appear. If left unchecked, they
remain hidden.
Enter the web page's window title. This is the name of the web page that
appears in your web browser's title bar when you navigate to it.
