It is important that you read and follow this instruction manual, along
with the radio system manual before you run this exciting boat. Failure to
read and understand the manual could result is personal injury, property
damage or permanent damage to your boat. It is also important to run
your boat responsibly. With proper care and maintenance, you will be
able to proudly enjoy your boat for many years to come.

Recommended Tools and Adhesives

• Needle nose pliers
• Marine grease (PRB0100 or PRB0101)
• Paper towel
• Rubbing alcohol
• Open-end wrench: 10mm (2)
• Nut driver: 7mm
• Phillips screwdriver: #1
• Hex wrench: 2.5mm, 3mm
• Clear tape (PRB0102)
When operating the boat, stay clear of people, full-scale boats, stationary
objects and wildlife. It is preferable to operate your boat in low wake, low
wind conditions and in areas free of people, wildlife and objects.
Check all of the hardware, and the propeller for damage and loose
screws before and after each run.
If at any time while operating your boat you sense any abnormal function,
end your operation immediately. Do not operate your boat again until you
are certain the problem has been corrected.

Additional Required Items

• You will need to purchase the following to get your boat on the water:
• 4 AA alkaline batteries for the transmitter
• Tamiya/Deans adapter (PRB3312) (Applicable to Impulse
26 only when using an Ni-MH battery with Deans connector)
• Recommended Batteries:
∙ (2) Dynamite 7.4V 4200mAh 2S 30C Li-Po Hardcase
with Deans connector (DYN5302D) (Impulse 31 only)
∙ (1) Pro Boat 7 .2V 5100mAh Ni-MH battery packs
with Deans connector (PRB3316) (Impulse 26 only)
IMPORTANT: Impulse 31 requires two batteries to operate.
NOTICE: When using batteries that your model is not initially
programmed to run on we recommend using PRB3311 BL ESC
Programming Module (not included). (Impulse 26 comes pre-
programmed from the factory to run on Ni-MH batteries.
Impulse 31 comes pre-programmed to run on Li-Po batteries.)
• Battery Charger
∙ Li-Po battery charger: Dynamite
∙ Ni-MH battery charger with automatic peak detection:
Dynamite Prophet
Sport 2 (DYN4077)
CAUTION: Only use a charger specifically designed to charge
Li-Po batteries. Failure to do so can result in fire causing damage
to property or injury.

Product Inspection

Carefully remove the boat and radio transmitter from the box. Inspect the
boat for damage. If you find damage is present, please contact the hobby
shop where you purchased your boat.
