SERVICE NOTES: If there is a large pocket of air trapped in the circulation pump plumbing after filling the spa with
water, the heater thermal cut-off may trip when the heater is energized. The air lock will eventually cause the circulation
pump's thermal overload to trip and shut down the pump as well. The circulation pump will start up automatically once
it has cooled. You'll need to remove the air lock and reset the heater thermal cut-off. See the Service Information
section for details.
Weak or surging jets are an indication of a low water level condition or clogged filter cartridges.
4. Adjust Total Alkalinity (TA), Calcium Hardness (CH), then spa water pH and finally sanitize the spa water following the
procedures listed in the Water Quality and Maintenance section. The jet button marked "Clean" should be used for the
10 minute "super-chlorination" or "shock treatment."
OPERATION NOTE: Make sure you adjust your Total Alkalinity first, as an out-of-balance condition will affect your
ability to adjust the pH correctly, and will prevent the sanitizer from operating effectively.
5. Once the spa plumbing and pumps have been primed, the water sanitized, and the jet pump has shut off, the cover
may be put on the spa. Always secure the cover in place using the cover coverlocks whenever the spa is not being
used.
6. The spa temperature is pre-programmed to reach 102°F, and will normally do so within 18 to 24 hours. You may raise
the water temperature by pressing the TEMP (+) button on the control panel, or lower it by pressing the TEMP (-)
button. After a few hours to heat or cool, the water temperature will remain within 1-1/2 degrees of your selected
temperature. To prevent tampering, you can lock your desired temperature setting. Refer to the Control Panel section
for details.
