Battery removal & installation
The battery is in the battery box below the seat.
Always keep ignition switch OFF when servicing the
battery. Never disconnect a terminal lead from the bat-
tery when the engine is running. This can cause dam-
age to the scooter's fuel injection, ignition and electri-
cal systems.

1. Open the seat (see page 22).
2. Remove the three retaining screws 1 and the battery
cover 2.

3. Remove the four retaining screws 3 and the battery
inner cover 4.

4. Disconnect the negative lead 5 from the battery, then
disconnect the positive lead 6 from the battery.
