Area Code into Memory

If your local telephone company does not deliver the area code
with a local number's caller ID information, it is not necessary to
program this feature.
The area code is programmed into memory to allow the
telephone to recognize the local
area code. When this number is
programmed, the area code will
not be dialed when using the call
back feature to call back a
person within the same local
calling area.
Note: Programming should be performed with the telephone on-
hook
1
Press the DIRECTORY / STORE key (located on the top side of
the base) until ENTER AREA CODE is displayed on the LCD
screen.
2
Enter the area code number of your location using the
numeric dial pad. Do not enter a '1' as the first digit.
3
Press the DIRECTORY / STORE key again and the screen will go
back to its normal position after a 15 second delay.
