1. Daily Inspection

Perform the following checks before
and after use.
Item
● C heck the amount of fuel in the tank.
● C heck for debris or water in the fuel filters.
Fuel System
● C heck the rubber hoses for fuel leakage.
● C heck for crack, leakage, damage in the fuel tank cap.
● C heck for crack, damage in the gasket and teather.
Fuel Tank Cap
● C heck for leakage at full close.
● C heck for ratchet performance.
● C heck the oil level.
Engine Oil
● C heck that the main switch functions normally.
● C heck that the battery electrolyte level and specific
gravity are normal.
● C heck for loose connections on the battery terminal.
Electrical
● C heck that the stop switch functions normally and make
Equipment
sure the lock plate is there.
● C heck cords for loose connections and damage.
● C heck the spark plugs for dirt, wear and carbon build-up.
● C heck carburetor linkage is working normaly when
Throttle System
turning the throttle grip.
● C heck the rope for wear and chafing.
Recoil Starter
● C heck the ratchet engagement.
● C heck that the clutch engages correctly when operating
Clutch and
the shift lever.
● V isually Check propeller for bent or damaged blades.
Propeller System
● C heck the propeller nut is tightened.
● C heck all the bolts attaching the motor to the boat.
Installation of
● C heck the thrust rod installation.
Motor
● C heck working of the tilt up and down of the motor.
Power Tilt
● C heck that cooling water is discharged from the cooling
Cooling Water
water check port after the engine has started.
● C heck that there are tools and spare parts for replacing
Tools and Spares
spark plugs, the propeller, etc.
● C heck that you have the spare rope.
● C heck the operation of the steering handle.
Steering Devices
● C heck if the anode is securely installed.
Other parts
● C heck the anode for corrosion and deformation.
INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
!
Do not use outboard motor on which any
abnormality is found during pre-operation
check, or it could go into trouble during
cruising potentially leading to accident.
