Modes Menu
The detector will return to the Detect screen and your selected mode will be active.
The mode number will be displayed on the Status Bar.

Delete a Mode

1. From the Modes menu, use the down arrow button to highlight the mode of your
choice and press Select.
2. Use the arrow buttons to highlight the Delete option from the pop-up and press
the Select button.
A message will be displayed to confirm that the mode has been deleted, and you
will be returned to the Modes menu. The deleted mode will no longer be listed.

Create a New Mode

New search modes are created by copying an existing mode. Up to ten search
modes are available.
To create a new search mode:
1. From the Modes menu, use the arrow buttons to highlight the mode you want to
copy and press Select.
2. From the mode pop-up, use the arrow buttons to highlight the Save as New option
and press Select.
You will be returned to the Modes menu and the new search mode will be
listed. Initially this mode will retain the properties of the mode from which it was
created and will be the currently selected mode. It can now be edited to suit your
requirements.

Reset a Mode to Default

Newly created and edited search modes can be reset to any of the preset modes.
This menu option is only available when a new mode has been created.
To reset a new search mode:
1. Use the arrow buttons to highlight the mode you want to reset and press Select.
2. From the selected mode pop-up, use the down arrow buttons to highlight the
Reset to Default option and press Select.
The list of default modes will be displayed.
3. Use the arrow buttons to highlight the default mode you require and press select.
You will be returned to the Modes menu and your mode will be reset and renamed
to the selected default mode.

Edit a Mode

The currently selected search mode can be edited through the Mode Settings
menu. If the mode you want to edit is not the current mode, first follow the steps
to 'Select a Mode' (page 32) so that the edit option becomes available.
