g. The SupraExpress 56i Pro modem specified in this guide is for the
h. This apparatus has been approved for the following facilities:
Any other usage will invalidate the approval of the apparatus, if as a result, it
then ceases to conform to the standards against which approval was granted.
All apparatus connected to this modem, and thereby connected directly or
indirectly to the British Telecom Public Switched Telephone Network, must be
approved apparatus as defined in Section 16 of the British Telecommunications

Although this equipment can use either loop disconnect or DTMF signaling,

makes use of plug pins 1 & 6. If in doubt, advice must be obtained from a
competent telecommunications engineer.
Difficulties may occasionally be experienced from other apparatus connected to
the BT PSTN via the SupraExpress 56i Pro modem apparatus. Such difficulties
may include the following:
Difficulty in making calls
Problems in telephone conversion being experienced by both parties to
the call
During dialing, this apparatus may tinkle the bells of other
telephones using the same line. This is not a fault, and we advise
you not to call the Fault Repair Service.
