Notifications
There are a number of ways you can set up your Toshiba Pocket PC e830
to notify or remind you of schedules appointments or tasks, such as:
A message box can appear on the screen.
A sound can play.
A light can flashes from your Toshiba Pocket PC e830.
To choose reminder types and sounds, tap
Personal tab, tap Sounds & Notifications. The options you choose here
apply throughout your Toshiba Pocket PC e830.

Entering Information

You have several options for entering new information:
Use the input panel to enter typed text, through the soft keyboard or
other input method.
Write directly on the screen.
Draw pictures on the screen.
Speak into your Toshiba Pocket PC e830 microphone to record mes-
sages.

Entering text using the Input Panel

Use the Input Panel to enter information in any program on your Toshiba
Pocket PC e830. You can type using the soft keyboard or write using Let-
ter Recognizer, Block Recognizer, or Transcriber. In either case, the char-
acters appear as typed text on the screen.
