Connecting Direct DC Power (Optional)
To connect the optional direct DC power:
Screw‐on the DC power cable to the power connector on the modem.

Connect red wire to the "+" (positive) terminal and black wire to the "–" (negative) terminal. Be sure the GND

For automotive application: according to the type of application, you can use permanent "+" or key‐
switched "+" source. Connect the power supply to its source; for example, in a mobile situation, to the vehicle's
DC fuse/terminal block.
Attaching the Modem to a Flat Surface
Before you mount your modem to a permanent surface, verify signal strength. For more information refer to
Using Your Wireless Modem, Verify Signal Strength in Chapter 3.
No matter which orientation you use to mount your MultiModem, ensure that the antenna is always vertical
Note:
and pointing upward as the floor or ground may impede the antenna's performance.
You can mount the modem to a panel using screws spaced according to the measurement shown.
