Activating/deactivating first
ringer muting
Prerequisite: Your phone is connected to
the analogue fixed line.
Every SMS addressed to your analogue fixed
line connection is indicated by a single ring.
To prevent this ring, suppress the first ringer
for all external calls on your fixed line con-
nection.

Sending SMS (text messages)
Activating/deactivating SMS
function
If you deactivate the SMS function, you can-
not send or receive any SMS messages with
your phone.
The settings you have made for sending and
receiving SMS messages (e.g., the numbers
of the SMS service centres) and the entries in
the incoming and draft lists are saved even
after deactivation.
