Are the tabs of the EJ Frame disengaged?
Is the CR Motor cable/connector disconnected?
Is the PF Motor cable/connector disconnected?
Is the CR Linear Scale not moving freely, centered between the sides of CR encoder
sensor?
Is there any dirt on the CR Linear Scale?
Is the CR Linear Scale chipped or broken?
Is the Encoder FFC disconnected from the CR Encoder Board?
Is there any paper dust or dirt on the CR Encoder?
Is the Encoder FFC damaged or broken?
Is the CR Encoder damaged or broken?
Is the PF Scale not moving freely, centered between the sides of PF encoder sensor?
Is there any dirt on the PF Scale?
Is the PF Scale chipped or broken?
Is the Encoder FFC disconnected from the PF Encoder Board?
Is there any paper dust or dirt on the PF Encoder?

3.4 Troubleshooting by Symptom
Remedy
Reinstall the EJ Frame correctly.
Connect the CR Motor cable to CN14 on the Main Board.
Connect the CR Motor cable to CN13 on the Main Board.
Install the scale correctly.
Clean off any dirt on the scale.3
Replace the CR Linear Scale.
Connect the FFC to the board properly.
Remove any paper dust or dirt on the CR Encoder.
Replace the Head FFC.
Replace the CR Unit.
Install the scale correctly.
Clean off any dirt on the scale.
Replace the PF Scale.
Connect the FFC to the board properly.
Remove any paper dust or dirt on the PF Encoder.
Replace the Encoder FFC.
Replace the PF Encoder.
Connect the FFC to CN10, CN11, CN12, CN15, and CN16
on the Main Board.
Replace the Head FFC.
Replace the Printhead.
