Collect Materials and Tools

Collect the following materials and tools:
u
The Intense 3D 100 board.
u
The distribution diskette labeled I3D100, containing the Intense 3D
100 driver.
u
A flat-head or Phillips screwdriver, as required to prepare your
computer's PCI expansion slot for installation of an option board.
u
The monitor cable supplied with your computer or monitor.
u
Your computer's documentation.
Retain all packaging materials. You must return your Intense 3D 100
hardware in its original packaging to obtain warranty service.

Make a Copy of the Distribution Diskette

Make a copy of the distribution diskette containing the Intense 3D 100
driver as a precaution. Should anything happen to the copy, you will
still have the original diskette.
See your computer's documentation to make a backup copy of the
diskette. Store the original distribution diskette in a safe place, and use
the backup diskette during the installation.

Read the Instructions

Before attempting to install Intense 3D 100, read Chapter 3, "Installing
the Hardware," and Chapter 4, "Installing the Software" completely.
Review your computer's documentation for instructions on opening and
closing the computer, identifying PCI expansion slots, disabling on-
board graphics acceleration, and adding an expansion board.
Review the Microsoft Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0 documentation
and online Help for instructions on installing drivers and software
application programs.
