3-6. Virtual Server (Operate your computer as WEB / FTP Server)
If you use internal PCs such as WEB / FTP / Telnet, E-mail servers, you can use Packet Forwarding or
DMZ Setup.
3-6-1. Port Forwarding
If you want to use a computer as a specific server (WEB, FTP), you may arrange this by using
the port forwarding function. Please refer to the following example and steps.
Operate a computer with 192.168.1. 5 address as FTP server
Operate a computer with 192.168.1. 11 address as WEB server
Operate a computer with 192.168.1. 15 address as Winamp broadcasting
Steps:
1. Select protocol.
2. Input desired port range for use.
3. Input Internal IP address of the computer you wan to use a virtual server.
(It is okay to leave the internal port number empty. Default port number is "0.")
4. Click ADD.
5. After setting up all desired configurations, Click APPLY.
NOTE: Port input range is in increments of 10. For example, 8000 ~ 8009 is a
possible range, while 8000 ~ 8010 is not.
