3-2-1. Setup for Static IP Address at Internal PCs
Set up Static IP Address only if you do not wish to use the DHCP default. Following is an
example for Windows 2000 / XP.
1. Follow the Preliminary Steps and the first 5 steps for Configuring Windows 2000 and
XP PCs in Section 3-1.
2. Select Use the following IP Address and type in your IP address, Subnet mask
and Default gateway. The Gateway address should be 192.168.1.1. [Figure 3-8]
3. Select the Use the following DNS Server addresses and input the DNS address
given by your ISP.
4. Click OK. Windows will automatically restart.

Default IP address range available for use is 192.168.1.2 ~
192.168.1.99, and 192.168.1.201 ~ 192.168.1.254. Subnet Mask is
255.255.255.0.
