3-4-1. WEP Encryption Setup
If you want to encode data, Select 64Bit-WEP or 128Bit-WEP at the list box. However,
understand that encryption slows down the data processing speed.
Disable
64Bit-WEP
128Bit-WEP
Authentication Type : If you choose to use WEP, you need to Select between Open
3-4-2. WEP Key Generator
WEP Key Generator is used to create WEP Key. Use WEB Manager to automatically configure,
or follow instructions for Manual Setup to input WEP keys yourself.
Automatic Setup
1. In the Web Encryption drop-down box, Select 64-bit
2. Input any character at Passphrase.
3. Click Create.
4. Select one of the four-encryption keys.

: When selected, will not encode data.
: Makes 64Bit-WEP encryption data by using 40Bit encryption
key. The key should be identical (the same) between AP and
Clients.
: Makes 128Bit-WEP encryption data by using 104Bit
encryption key. The key should be identical between AP and
Clients.
System and Shared Key.
Open System
Access Point will accept all non-encrypted packets.
This allows any computer access to the NetDisk
Wireless network.
Shared Key
Access Point will delete all non-encrypted packets.
Any computer that wants to access AP should use
the same WEP Key.
WEP or 124-bit WEP.
The four-encryption key information should be listed.
The four-encryption key information should be the same
with the key information of the clients' program.
WEP Encryption should also be the same.
