Phoning and Faxing on the Same Call

This feature is available when you
connect the external telephone.

To Talk before Sending a Fax

A
Pick up the handset.

Dial the other party.
Note
❒ Do not press the {Start} key.

If you hear a voice, continue your
conversation as you would nor-
mally.
If you hear a high-pitched tone
instead of a voice
A Place your fax message in the
Automatic Document Feeder,
and then press the { { { { Start} } } } key.
Go to step E.
D
When you are ready to send your
fax message, place your message
in the feeder, and then ask the
other party to press the { { { { Start} } } }
key.
E
Press the { { { { Start} } } } key on the ma-
chine.
F
Replace the handset.
