The utility mode settings can also be specified from LSD (Local Setup for Di-
agnostic). For details, refer to "About Local Setup for Diagnostic (LSD)" on
page 7-11.
Note
Depending on the installed options and specified installation region,
some utility mode functions cannot be set.
Fax kit FK-505
Description
Used to specify settings for the machine's operating environ-
ment.*
Used to specify the size and type of paper loaded in tray1. In ad-
dition, auto tray switching can be enabled for each tray.

Used to specify the default setting for each fax function.
Used to specify the default setting for TX operation.
Used to specify the default setting for RX operation.
Used to specify the default setting for communicating environ-
ment.
Used to specify the default setting for each report function.
Used to specify setting for the initializing user data.
Available only if the optional network interface card NC-502 is in-
stalled. For details, refer to the user's guide for the network card
NC-502.
Available only if the optional scanner unit SU-502 is installed. For
details, refer to the user's guide for the scanner unit SU-502.
