ENGINE OPERATION
5. Stopping the engine

Do not shift into Reverse during
planning, or control will be lost

leading to serious personal injury,
boat may swamp, and/or hull may
be damaged.
Do not shift into Reverse during

cruising, or control may be
lost, falling down or causing
passenger(s) to be thrown

overboard. Leading to serious
personal injury, and steering system
and/or shifting mechanism may be
damaged.

Never stop the engine immediately
after a full throttle run. Keep it running

for two or three minutes at idling speed
(Shift Lever set to Neutral) to allow it to
cool down.

EFO, EFTO type

Reduce the engine speed to idling
rpm.
Turn the Main Switch to "OFF". The

engine will then stop.

Move the Remote Control lever to
Neutral (N) and let the engine idle
for 2-3 minutes to allow it to cool
down.
Neutral (N)
Turn the main switch key counter-
clockwise.
The engine will stop.
