Distinctive Ring

Speed access no. 67
Some telephone carriers offer a service called Distinctive Ring.
Distinctive Ring lets you have different numbers on one line,
each with its own distinctive ring. You can then use one
number exclusively as a fax number without the expense of a
second line. Your local telephone carrier can provide you with
more information about this service, which usually has an
additional charge.
Available settings are:
OFF (not detected)
ON (detected)
SET (programmed)
The default setting is OFF.

You must have your local telephone carrier's Distinctive
Ring service.

Your fax machine must be in FAX, MEM, or PC answer
mode.

Other modes—TEL, TEL/FAX, or TAD—will override
Distinctive Ring.

This feature may not work properly if you have a
telephone other than a genuine Konica optional
handset connected to your fax machine.
Setting Distinctive Ring
To set up your fax machine to recognize another ring pattern:

Press the Menu/Exit key to enter the menu.

Enter speed access number 67.

When the display shows the parameter you want, press

to select the setting. Press Enter.

Press Menu/Exit to return to standby mode.
