Software Default Settings
The M5900RV stores the software settings upon receipt and uses
them until they are again changed by receipt of a command con-
taining a new setting. These settings are stored in non-volatile
RAM and are not affected by powering the printer off. The printer
may be reset to use the default software settings by depressing the
LINE and FEED keys simultaneously while powering the printer on.
This will result in the following default configuration:
• Print Darkness:
• Print Speed:
• Print Reference:
• Zero:
• Auto On Line:
Once the default operation is completed, a "DEFAULT SET-
TING COMPLETED" message will be displayed on the LCD
panel. The printer should be powered off while this message
is being displayed. This saves the default settings in the
EEPROM where they will be automatically loaded the next time
the printer is powered on.
