The receiver or the TV may be muted

Check that the mute button on the remote control or the TV has not
been pressed.
The volume may be level may be too low

Check the volume setting by using the remote control
16.4 'No signal' is displayed on screen
There is no valid signal being received

Check that the coaxial cable from the satellite antenna is correctly fitted
to the antenna input on the receiver – remember to turn off power to
the receiver whilst checking connections.

Check that the antenna is correctly fitted and aligned to the correct
satellite.

Check that there are no obstacles between the antenna and the satelli-
te.

Severe weather conditions such as heavy rain or snow can block the
signal.
The wrong AV channel is selected

Check that the correct AV channel is selected on the TV
16.5 'Channel not available' is displayed on screen
Channel is currently not being broadcast
