If something doesn't work

If the appliance doesn't work properly check the following points before
asking for service:
The hob flames burn unevenly
— check the burner crown holes are not obstructed;
— check the burner bodies, caps and crowns are not wet.
There is gas smell in the room
— check all the hob burner knobs are in the "OFF" position;
— check the gas supply pipe is well positioned and in good condition.
Remember to replace it at least once a year.
Never look for a gas loss with a match!
The oven doesn't heat
— Check the oven knobs are in the correct worrking positions.
Cooking time is too long
— Check the temperature is correct for the type of food to be cooked.
The cooker produces smoke
— We advise you to clean the oven after use. Splashes of fat can occur
during the cooking of meat and, if the oven isn't cleaned properly,
these produce smoke and bad smell. (see paragraph concerning
cleaning).
The oven lamp doesn't work
— The lamp may need replacing. To replace it follow the instructions
given in the relevant section.
If the appliance still doesn't work after carrying out all the checks listed
above, call your nearest Service Centre. You will be requested to give he
following information:
- Clear and concise details of the fault
- The model and the serial number (which can be found on the rating
plate)
- Date of purchase
